To God Be The
Glory --- A HUGE Victory for the Gospel in New York City!
“When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted,
and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the
wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in and they took the
city.” – Joshua 6:20
Click here to view a history-making document…it represents the
collapse of the Wall of Jericho that has kept out the Gospel for
years in New York State.
What is it? It is a copy of the denial of a
stay by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit that
had been requested by the New York City School Board to deny the Bronx
Household of Faith their equal access right to meet on Sunday mornings
in a New York City school. What does it mean? The church
won!
Just two Sundays ago, while awaiting the stay, members of the
congregation sang “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” before they silently
crossed the street to worship in their new home for the first time.
Now, with this stay denied, their ability to worship there is no longer
temporary, it is permanent, pending the city’s additional appeals.
And the ramifications for hundreds of small churches in New York City
and in the state as a whole are huge! The locks that have kept
Christians out have been ripped off the school house doors and the
people can now charge in, just like they did when the Wall of Jericho
fell, and worship Almighty God.
ADF Attorney Jordan Lorence who has litigated this case for
over five years, all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, and
then back again, said: “The schools are now open for students on
weekdays, and they are now open for churches on weekends. Equal
access is now the law of the land.”
None of this could have been accomplished (John 15:5) if we
had not been on our knees in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17) or without
your faithful support. Thank you for making such an incredible victory
for the Gospel possible and pray for victory in all future appeals! |
